The site is organized as a simple content management system (CMS) with restricted write access. Please contact us if you are interested in posting, and include a list with some ideas or some samples.
All edits can be done in a user-friendly Word-like hypertext editor. The key to the site's structure is the hierarchy of headings. There are four levels of headings:
- H1 is used for the categories of the site (like Starships, Science & Technology, etc.). You should not use the H1 format unless you think the site needs another category. Every use of the H1 format automatically generates a new page right above the heading.
- H2 is used for single articles (like "Why does the NX-01 look like the Akira?"). For each article use exactly one line formatted with H2. Every use of the H2 format automatically generates a new page right above the heading.
- H3 is used for sub-articles (like "Further Notes about NX-01"). Don't use H3 inside an article unless you intend to split the page. Every use of the H3 format automatically generates a new page right above the heading.
- H4 is used for sub-headings on a page. Use sub-headings to improve the legibility of a page, and as often as is useful. H4 does not create a new page.
In edit mode, you have to save every page to keep the changes before selecting a new one to edit from the menu at the left!
